The Oukitel WP10 is a rugged 5G 8000mAh battery phone with a December 2020 sale coming up
The Oukitel WP10 has debuted as one of a growing number of phones with IP68, IP69K and MIL-STD-810G durability ratings (for example, it is rated to withstand submersion in water to a depth of up to 1.5 meters for 30 minutes). However, its 5G MediaTek SoC does put it into a much smaller sub-section of this "rugged phone" category.
In addition, its OEM has equipped it with an 8000mAh battery. This can be charged with its USB type A to type C cable and brick; unfortunately, Oukitel never mentions its top rate, or if the WP10 is rated for potentially useful features such as reverse wireless charging or a power bank function.
Then again, the OEM also refers to a series of (as yet unspecified) modular accessories for the phone, to connect via pins on its rear panel. A quad rear camera with a 48MP main shooter and a 13MP ultra-wide-angle lens is also found here.
The Oukitel WP10 also has a 6.67-inch FHD+ display, albeit one with both a punch-hole selfie camera and a forehead. Its single 8GB RAM/128GB SKU has a starting price of US$669.99, although interested consumers would be advised to wait until December 7 to 11, 2020.
The phone will be available for $399.99 via the OEM's own store on that day. Oukitel has also announced that the first 500 consumers to buy during this event will get a free pair of TWS earbuds. Alternatively, the company is also currently running a compeition for the WP10 on its website.
