The OPPO A92s has just been made available for pre-order at the company’s Chinese website, with April 29 being mentioned as the actual date for sale. Customers can reserve an A92s with 6 GB RAM and 128 GB storage for 2,199 yuan (~US$311) while upping the memory to 8 GB RAM puts the OPPO smartphone's price tag to 2,499 yuan (~US$353).
These figures for the OPPO A92s should make it very enticing for consumers who want to enjoy 5G connections without paying sky-high prices for a smartphone. The A92s will also be attractive to those interested in trying out the MediaTek Dimensity 800 processor, which showed up on Geekbench 4 recently. Although there has been some deep controversy in the news lately about MediaTek’s benchmarking activities, it might still be worth testing this midrange SoC out.
OPPO offers the A92s in two colors: black, and white with a hint of lavender. The smartphone also comes with a 120 Hz, 6.57-in LED screen, front dual-camera system (16 MP + 2 MP), dual-mode 5G, a 4,000-mAh battery that can utilize 18 W fast charging, and a quad-core main camera system on the rear (48 MP + 8 MP + 2 MP + 2 MP). With Android 10 also on board, OPPO has made the A92s quite the tasty treat considering the price point.
