The Realme V3 launches as the cheapest 5G phone in China
Realme has just made its X7 and X7 Pro official via a virtual launch in China. This premium/premium mid-range new series also introduces the Dimensity 800U chipset. However, their maker was not quite done with fresh MediaTek-powered devices at the end of their unveiling.
The "one more thing" in this case was the V3, the second of its own line. It features the Dimensity 720, which means the phone is capable of dual-mode 5G. Realme has also outfitted it with a 5000mAh battery, although it charges at a standard 18 watt (W) rate rather than the SuperDart 65W standard that graces the X7s.
This power-pack sustains a 6.5-inch HD+ 20:9 display with a waterdrop notch that houses an 8MP camera. The V3 also features triple 13+2+2MP rear camera in a square housing. Its fingerprint sensor is found below this feature.
Accordingly, Realme has priced this package (which also contains a 3.5mm jack) starting at 999 yuan (~@US$146) for a SKU with 6GB of RAM and 64GB of UFS 2.1 internal storage. This increases to 1399 yuan (~$237) for a top-end 8GB/128GB unit. Therefore, Realme now touts it as the cheapest phone with 5G in China.
The new title-holder is available to reserve on platforms such as Realme's online store from today (September 1, 2020) in Moonlight White or Sea Blue styles. Alternatively, its ordinary sales listings go live on September 9.
