Realme has now released two new devices to hold the fort in the sub-premium segment. The two devices, the Realme X7 and Realme X7 Pro both feature MediaTek 5G chipsets, with the Realme X7 Pro in particular sporting the much-lauded MediaTek Dimensity 1000+.
Starting off, the Realme 7 Pro features a 6.4-inch FHD+ AMOLED with 180 Hz touch sensitivity. There's no mention of a high refresh rate, so it appears to be a 60 Hz display. Under the hood is MediaTek's 5G-enabled Dimensity 800U, with up to 8 GB of RAM. 128 GB of UFS 2.1 storage is standard.
At the back of the Realme X7 is a quad-camera setup comprised of a 64 MP main camera, 8 MP ultra-wide-angle camera, 2 MP portrait camera, and 2 MP macro shooter. A 32 MP selfie camera is housed within a hole punch. A 4300 mAh battery supplies the phone with juice, with Realme's SuperDart Charge keeping charge times down with an impressive 65 W fast charge.
The Realme X7 is priced at CNY 1,799 (US$265) for the 6/128 GB model and CNY 2,399 (US$350)for the 8/128 GB SKU.
The Realme X7 Pro is the star of the show and its spec sheet proves as much. It sports a 6.55-inch FHD+ 120 Hz AMOLED, with a hole punch housing a 32 MP camera. Under the hood is the MediaTek Dimensity 1000+. The Dimensity 1000+ doesn't quite match the Snapdragon 865 but holds its own against the Kirin 990 and Snapdragon 855. Available is 8 GB of RAM, and up to 256 GB of UFS 2.1 storage.
Unfortunately, the Realme X7 Pro keeps the same camera array from the regular Realme X7. Battery capacity is bumped up to 4500 mAh. Charging is the same at 65 W, however. The 8/128 GB SKU goes for CNY 2,499 (US$365), and the top 8/256 GB variant costs a massive CNY 3,199 (US$470).
