New renders leak for the OPPO A92: Aurora Purple 5G midranger's 48MP quad-camera challenges the Galaxy S20-Snapdragon 665 and 5000 mAh battery round out the sub-US$300 package
Tipster @evleaks just outed what appear to be official renders for the Aurora Purple version of the OPPO A92 smartphone. The render highlights the OPPO A92's quad-camera setup, similar to the Galaxy S20. The 48MP primary sensor should deliver great photo quality.
The A92 will likely be a variant of the OPPO A92S, a smartphone that's currently available only in China. The A92S features a Mediatek Dimensity 800 SoC, a 120 Hz FHD+ display, and up to 8GB of RAM. We expect the vanilla A92 to utilize either the Dimensity 800 or Qualcomm's competing Snapdragon 665.
In terms of cut-backs, the A92 might feature less RAM and we expect that fluid 120 Hz display to make way for a standard 60 Hz panel.
Information about the A92 is scarce at the moment. However, the render indicates that it will be available in an Aurora Purple variant and that it's likely to be a very similar package overall to the A92. We'll let you know as soon as OPPO makes an official announcement.
