Blackview attracts over 2500% of its crowdfunding goal for the rugged Dimensity 800-powered BL6000 Pro
Blackview asserts that its new BL6000 Pro is "the toughest 5G smartphone". This is due to the chassis that conforms to the IP68, IP69K and MIL-STD-810G rated chassis containing a MediaTek Dimensity 800 SoC, 8GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage. Therefore, its maker asserts that it is dustproof, shockproof and drop-proof, while also supporting multiple 5G, 4G, TDD and FDD bands.
The BL6000 Pro's processor also confers dual-mode 5G on the phone, which might offer download speeds of up to 2.3Gb/s. Blackview also claims that it can work to some extent in temperatures as low as -30°C. Similarly, it indicates that its triple rear cameras (with a Sony IMX582 48MP main sensor) can work underwater thanks to its ingress-protection.
These cameras are also rated for a night mode, HDR and 4K/30fps recording. The BL6000 Pro also has a 5280mAh battery to keep its 6.36-inch FHD+ display on. It also integrates NFC, fingerprint-sensing and the less expected inclusion of a barometer.
The BL6000 Pro is currently available for $3,489 Hong Kong dollars (HKD, or ~US$450) for Black Friday 2020, with a free smartwatch thrown in. This promotion lasts for about 45 hours from now (November 27, 2020 at about 19:00 CET). More normally, it goes for ~$499 on Indiegogo, possibly with free TWS earbuds from this brand.
