Redmi Note 13 Pro Plus: Xiaomi shares camera samples from new 200 MP Samsung ISOCELL camera
The launch of the Redmi Note 13 series is only a few days away. In the meantime, the Redmi Note 13 Pro has turned up on Geekbench sporting the new Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 chipset. Additionally, Xiaomi has shared several camera samples from the Redmi Note 13 Pro Plus, the premier model in the Redmi Note 13 series.
As we have discussed previously, Xiaomi has equipped the Redmi Note 13 Pro Plus with the Samsung ISOCELL HP3 Discovery Edition, a customised version of the sensor with the same name found in the Honor 90 and Honor 90 Pro. Fundamentally, the Discovery Edition is the same sensor as the regular ISOCELL HP3, with a 200 MP native output and a 1/1.4-inch optical format.
However, Xiaomi boasts that the Redmi Note 13 Pro Plus delivers superior image quality, in part because of the new image signal processor (ISP) in the Dimensity 7200 Ultra. Moreover, Xiaomi has complemented the 200 MP sensor with a 7P lens, optical image stabilisation (OIS) and an f/1.65 aperture. Although the images embedded below look impressive, it is worth keeping in mind that they are mostly shot in close to ideal conditions.
Similarly, we imagine that Xiaomi has also professionally edited these photos. If that is the case, then while they would be taken with a Redmi Note 13 Pro Plus, they would be somewhat unrepresentative of what photos would look like immediately after capturing them. Xiaomi has not commented on a global release yet, but it will introduce the Redmi Note 13 series in China on September 21.
