When it comes to ultra-lightweight laptops, few machines do it as well as the LG Gram. The LG Gram 17 (2023), the latest iteration of the Gram series, is no exception. The laptop is not only super light at just 1.35 kg (2.98 lb) but it is also fairly slim while packing an expansive 17-inch panel.

That said, the notebook is quite expensive at its full retail price making it tough to recommend. 

Fortunately, the LG Gram 17 (2023) price has dropped to only US$999 at Best Buy (Buy it now). This discounted rate, which is the lowest in recent memory per Honey, is a massive US$600 less than the US$1,599 retail price (via slickdeals).

Specs-wise, the LG Gram 17 on sale packs a Core i7-1360P processor, 32 GB of RAM, 1 TB of PCIe Gen 4 storage, an 80 Wh battery, and a 17-inch IPS panel. The 2,560 x 1,600 resolution display has a matte surface and boasts an advertised 350 nits of brightness. Other notable specifications include an FHD webcam, a backlit keyboard, and Intel Wi-Fi 6E.

We gave the 2023 LG Gram 17 a “good” rating of 86% in our review mainly due to the laptop’s solid display, good inputs, and excellent battery life. The 17-inch IPS panel covered 97% of the DCI-P3, 99.8% of the sRGB, and 85% of the AdobeRGB color gamut. Combined with a brightness of 363 nits and wide viewing angles, the LG Gram 17 is sure to delight media watchers.

Moving on to battery life, the LG Gram 17 (2023) lasted close to 13 hours and 14.5 hours in our WLAN and video test respectively. In short, you’ll have no trouble making it through a full day of office use with the LG Gram 17.

Finally, with a Core i7-1360P in tow, the LG Gram 17 performs pretty well, as it peaked at 11,027 and 1,855 points in our Cinebench R23 Multi-Core and Single-Core benchmark runs respectively. In essence, the laptop is perfectly suited for office and general productivity work.
