LG Gram SuperSlim: New ultra-thin laptop debuts in Europe for €1,699
LG has started selling the Gram SuperSlim in Europe, roughly a month after it launched the laptop in the US. As we discussed at the time, the LG Gram SuperSlim is a 15.6-inch laptop that weighs a mere 990 g. Additionally, the device is only 10.99 mm and 12.4 mm at its thinnest and thickest points, respectively. In short, the Gram SuperSlim is one of the most compact 15.6-inch laptops around.
Still, LG has included an Intel Core i7-1360P processor that has four performance cores and eight efficiency cores, plus LPDDR5-6000 RAM running in dual-channel mode and PCIe 4.0 storage. For reference, the Gram SuperSlim offers the latter through an M.2 2280 slot, providing upgradability further down the line. Moreover, the Gram SuperSlim has an OLED display that operates at 1,920 x 1,080 pixels in a 16:9 aspect ratio. According to LG, the display has 0.2 ms response times, 400 nits peak brightness and fully covers the DCI-P3 colour space.
Furthermore, the Gram SuperSlim is rated for up to 16 hours of battery life courtesy of a 60 Wh battery. Elsewhere, the laptop has three USB Type-C ports, two of which support the Thunderbolt 4 standard, stereo 2 W speakers and a 1080p webcam. For now, LG only offers the Gram SuperSlim (15Z90RT) in the Eurozone with 16 GB of RAM and a 1 TB SSD, for which it charges €1,699. Please see LG's website for more details. Unfortunately, it remains to be seen whether it will bring the 32 GB of RAM and 2 TB option to Europe, which it already sells in the US for US$1,999.
