Schenker is now updating part of its thin and light Vision laptop portfolio with more powerful CPU and GPU options. The latest M23 versions for the Vision 16 Pro, Vision 16 and Vision 14 pack Intel’s Raptor Lake-H processors and up to an Nvidia RTX 4070 dGPU.
Starting with the Vision 16 Pro, which is advertised as the world’s lightest premium ultrabook for its form-factor and performance class, Scehnker is adding an Intel i7-13700H CPU together with RTX 4060 and RTX 4070 dGPU options featuring 95 W TGP. Thanks to its 354 x 245 x 17.1 mm AZ91D magnesium chassis, the total weight of the Vision 16 Pro is no more than 1.6 kg. According to Schenker’s own market survey, this is currently the lightest and thinnest model out there, despite the redesigned cooling system that now comes with newly developed larger and quieter fans, along with an additional heat pipe on the VRAM and MOSFETs of the graphics card, plus liquid metal (Thermal Grizzly Conductonaut) coolant for the CPU but also the GPU.
The M23 Vision 16 Pro specs also include:
- Up to 64 GB DDR5-4800 RAM (non-soldered)
- 2x M.2 PCIe 4.0 NVMe SSD slots with RAID 0/1 option (+ pre-installed thermal pads)
- 16-inch IPS display with 16:10 aspect ratio, 2560 x 1600 resolution, 95% sRGB color gamut, 240 Hz (60 Hz power saving mode) refresh rate and 350 nit peak brightness
- Port selection: 1x Thunderbolt 4, 1x USB-C 3.2 Gen 2, 2x USB-A 3.2 Gen 1, HDMI 2.0b video out, audio combo jack, full-size SD card reader
- Wi-Fi 6E + BT 5 connectivity
- FHD webcam with Windows Hello support
- Full-size keyboard with large arrow keys
- 80 Wh battery (replaceable)
The non-Pro version of the Vision 16 does not include the RTX 4000 dGPU and thus weighs in at just 1.5 kg. For this model, the 80 Wh battery can provide almost 11 h of continuous runtime.
For the the 14-inch variant, Schenker is adding the i7-13700H, as well as an optional RTX 3050 Refresh dGPU with 6 GB VRAM instead of 4 GB and a slightly lower 50 W TGP. This variant’s chassis is even more compact with 16.6 mm thickness and a 1.33 kg weight (1.28 kg without dGPU), yet the port selection is the same from the 16-inch model. Schenker is not changing the cooling system with two fans and the liquid metal compound is still used. Additionally, the Vision 14 model is advertised as the only laptop on the market with a 99 Wh battery that can last 12.5 hours even when using the RTX 3050 Refresh dGPU.
The list of specs for the Vision 14 M23 model also packs the following features:
- Up to 64 GB DDR5-4800 RAM
- An M.2 PCIe 4.0 NVMe SSD slot
- 14-inch IPS display with 2880 x 1800 resolution, 90 Hz refresh rate, 380 nit peak brightness and 99% sRGB coverage
- Wi-Fi 6E + BT 5 connectivity
- FHD webcam with Windows Hello support
All three variants can be ordered starting today except for the Vision 14 with the RTX 3050 Refresh option, which will be available in July. The base configuration of the Vision 16 Pro with i7-13700H, NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4060, 16 (2x8) GB DDR5-4800 RAM, 500 GB Samsung 980 SSD and WQXGA IPS display with 240 Hz is priced at €2,099 (including VAT). The RTX 4070 upgrade costs €295. The Vision 16 non-Pro with no dGPU starts at €1,549, while a Vision 14 with i7-13700H, no dGPU, 500 GB Samsung 980 SSD, 16 (2x8) GB DDR5-4800 RAM and 3K IPS panel with 90 Hz comes in at €1,499. Upgrading to an RTX 3050 Refresh dGPU will cost €275.
