POCO has confirmed that its next smartphone will be the POCO C65, a MediaTek Helio G85-backed entry-level handset. The POCO C65 will launch later this week with a 50 MP triple camera and in three colours.

POCO has begun teasing its next smartphone. While the POCO F6 recently surfaced online, the company is turning towards an entry-level refresh instead. Additionally, the device is only a few days away from being unveiled. As such, POCO has detailed several device details, including its 'POCO C65' retail name.

According to POCO, the C65 will rely upon the Helio G85, a 12 nm SoC that MediaTek packs with 8 CPU cores. Like many other low-powered chipsets, the Helio G85 contains two ARM Cortex-A75 cores, six Cortex-A55 cores and a Mali-G52 MP2 GPU. In other words, the POCO C65 will utilise the same SoC as the POCO C55. Moreover, the POCO C65 features a 50 MP primary camera in another similarity with the POCO C55.

Supposedly, the POCO C65 will start at US$109 with 6 GB of RAM and 128 GB of storage. However, POCO stresses that this will be 'Early bird pricing', the exact details of which it has not revealed yet. Alternatively, the POCO C65 will be available with 8 GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage for US$20 more at US$129. The POCO C65 will debut on November 5 globally, with sales starting on that date in Europe too.
