Xiaomi Redmi 13C surfaces with 50 MP camera and large battery for under US$150
A few weeks have passed since MySmartPrice leaked the Redmi 13C, another budget smartphone for Xiaomi's subsidiary. While the website obtained images and specifications of the unreleased device in late September, there has been no product announcement since. However, a new Amazon US listing implies that an official launch is imminent.
As the screenshot below shows, the same listing has confirmed various device specifications, including the Redmi 13's reliance on a 4G chipset. Specifically, Xiaomi equips the Redmi 13C with the MediaTek Helio G99, a 6 nm SoC that features two ARM Cortex-A76 performance cores, six Cortex-A55 efficiency cores and a Mali-G57 MP2 GPU. Also, Xiaomi complements the entry-level chipset with 4 GB of RAM and 128 GB of expandable storage, plus a 5,000 mAh battery.
Moreover, the Redmi 13C possesses a 6.74-inch IPS display that resolves at 720p and houses a 5 MP front-facing camera. Based on Amazon US' listing, the Redmi 13C will be available later this month for approximately US$140 with a 50 MP primary camera and MIUI 14 based on Android 12. Thus, the Redmi 13C is likely only a few days away before becoming official.
