Xiaomi Redmi 13C renders reveal USB-C connectivity and a triple camera setup

Last December, Xiaomi unveiled the budget smartphone Redmi 12C in China. In March, this MediaTek Helio G85-powered 6.7-inch handset arrived to India accompanied by the Redmi Note 12 4G. An exclusive report by MySmartPrice reveals a rich set of (allegedly) Redmi 13C renders, uncovering a few key features of this upcoming handset.

While the Redmi 12C features a 50 MP dual camera setup, it seems that the 13C will not increase the pixel count of the main image snapper. However, it will add one more sensor to the photo shooting assembly located on its back. Another piece of good news covers the connectivity area, where the 13C will keep the 3.5 mm audio jack while moving up from microUSB 2.0 to a USB-C port.

In addition to the above, the fresh Redmi 13C renders also reveal a display similar to that of its predecessor, with a waterdrop-style notch on the top that obviously accommodates the selfie shooter. The three color options are light green, black, and blue.

Sadly, it looks like the rear-mounted fingerprint reader has been replaced with an under-display one, but it might also have been moved to the side, on the power button.

More details should surface in the coming days as the Redmi 13C should be listed on benchmark and certification websites. However, it is rather safe to assume at least 18 W wired fast charging and an increased pixel count for the selfie and depth cameras, as well as a faster processor and Android 13-based software.
