Xiaomi has started selling the Redmi 12C in the UK and the Eurozone. Announced at the turn of the year in China, the Redmi 12C measures 168.76 x 76.41 x 8.77 mm and weighs 192 g. A MediaTek Helio G85 chipset sits at the heart of the handset, which Xiaomi complements with LPDDR4X RAM and eMMC 5.1 flash storage. For reference, Xiaomi includes a MicroSD card reader that supports up to 1 TB cards.
Additionally, the Redmi 12C has a 6.71-inch display that outputs at 1,650 x 720 pixels with 500 nits peak brightness and 70% NTSC colour space coverage. Moreover, the handset features a 5,000 mAh battery that it can recharge at 10 W via its Micro USB port. Furthermore, Xiaomi equips the Redmi 12C with a 50 MP and f/1.8 primary camera, an auxiliary rear-facing QVGA lens and a 5 MP front-facing camera with an f/2.2 aperture.
The Redmi 12C is orderable in the UK for £129, but only in its Graphite Gray colourway with 3 GB of RAM and 32 GB of storage. For some reason, Xiaomi has not listed the smartphone on its EU websites. However, the likes of MediaMarkt and MediaWorld have confirmed retail prices of €169.99/€179.99 and €199.99 for 64 GB of storage and 128 GB of storage variants.
