Xiaomi has now confirmed the release date of the Redmi Note 12 Turbo, another offshoot in the Redmi Note 12 series. While Xiaomi started teasing the Redmi Note 12 Turbo last week, it only revealed that the handset would be it first with the Snapdragon 7 Plus Gen 2 chipset. Now, the company has outlined a launch date and has provided a few extra device details.
For example, one post highlights that LPDDR5 RAM and UFS 3.1 flash storage will join the Snapdragon 7 Plus Gen 2. In other words, the Redmi Note 12 Turbo will feature faster storage and RAM than the Redmi Note 12 Pro Plus, which utilises LPDDR4X RAM and UFS 2.2 flash storage. It remains to be seen whether the Redmi Note 12 Turbo will match its sibling with 12 GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage, though.
Additionally, the Redmi Note 12 Turbo has a 3.5 mm headphone jack, flat edges, a flat display and what appears to be a side-mounted fingerprint scanner. Moreover, the handset has a 64 MP primary camera, as well as two other lenses. Incidentally, Xiaomi has removed the large camera housing that it uses in the rest of the Redmi Note 12 series. Instead, the Redmi Note 12 Turbo has individual lenses. The Redmi Note 12 Turbo will arrive on March 28 in China. Currently, the handset is expected to launch in other markets next month as the POCO F5.
