Xiaomi has finally confirmed the name of its next Redmi Note smartphone, having also scheduled the global release of the Redmi Note 12 series. As Xiaomi's teaser images show, which has an obligatory speedometer that ends in 'TURBO', the company has settled on the Redmi Note 12 Turbo rather than the Redmi Note 12T Pro. While Xiaomi has not revealed what the Redmi Note 12 Turbo looks like yet, it undoubtedly will in further teasers before the device's release.
At the time of writing, Xiaomi has only outlined the Redmi Note 12 Turbo's release window as sometime later this month. Typically, Xiaomi teases devices for a little over a week in China before launching them, although it originally scheduled just three days for its Xiaomi 13 series teaser period. Hence, we suspect that Xiaomi will release the Redmi Note 12 Turbo in the final week of the month, albeit only in China.
For reference, the Redmi Note 12 Turbo is not expected to be available outside China. Instead, the device is rumoured to launch globally under the POCO F5 series, perhaps as the standard POCO F5. With the POCO F5 Pro rumoured to feature the Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1, the Snapdragon 7 Plus Gen 2-powered Redmi Note 12 Turbo appears destined for the POCO F5. Unfortunately, it is unclear when Xiaomi will release the POCO F5 or the POCO F5 Pro.
