Xiaomi has unveiled the Robot Vacuum X10 on its global website, with the gadget already on sale in parts of Southeast Asia. The device can vacuum and mop the floors in your home and comes with a self-emptying docking station for hands-free cleaning. You can control the device via the Xiaomi Mi Home app or Alexa and Google Assistant voice commands.

The Xiaomi Robot Vacuum X10 has been unveiled on the company’s global website. Xiaomi describes the new device as an affordable flagship model that can vacuum and mop your home. The robot has up to 4,000 Pa suction power, and an onboard 200 ml tank allows up to 80 minutes of mopping. The gadget can also overcome obstacles up to 20 mm (~0.79-in) tall.

A self-emptying docking station can remove dirt from the vacuum’s dustbin with 17,000 Pa suction power; the built-in 2.5L disposable bag can hold up to 60 cleans worth of dirt, allowing hands-free cleaning for several months. Xiaomi suggests that this model is smarter than others, using an LDS laser navigation system to map and position itself in your home, even in darker conditions. As with many Xiaomi smart home devices, you can control the X10 via the Xiaomi Mi Home app, setting schedules and adjusting the cleaning settings. Alternatively, you can control the gadget in many countries with Amazon Alexa or Google Assistant voice commands.

The vacuum has a 5,200 mAh battery, allowing it to run for up to 180 minutes on a single charge. The X10 is already available in Southeast Asian countries like the Philippines and Malaysia, where the gadget retails for RM2,199 (~US$498). It is unclear whether or when the device could launch in other markets and at what price.
