MagyarECOVACS GOAT G1 robotic lawn mower launching soon with offer
The ECOVACS GOAT G1 robotic lawn mower is about to launch in the EU. The device was unveiled last year and is expected to launch in EU countries like the Netherlands, France and Sweden on April 3. In some countries, customers who sign up for the ECOVACS newsletter will receive coupons for a free accessories kit when they purchase the GOAT G1. The German retailer OBI already has the device listed for €1,599 (~US$1,726), though it cannot currently be ordered.
The gadget uses a TrueMapping Multi-fusion system to determine its precise location within a few centimetres. The mower has integrated 360° panoramic and 150° fish-eye cameras, providing visibility of up to 100 m (~328 ft). These cameras can double up as garden security, giving you a real-time video feed. Ultra-wideband wireless carrier wave communication, inertial navigation and GPS ensure the GOAT G1 does not lose signal. The device scans at 25 fps to ensure it is constantly aware of its environment, and the AIVI 3D algorithm with ToF sensors helps the robot to avoid obstacles.
Rather than using a traditional boundary wire, you can use boundary posts to mark the edges of your garden. You can determine further boundaries in the accompanying app and amend settings such as cutting height, choosing between 3 and 6 cm (~1.2 and 2.4-in). With a 5.2 Ah 3A battery, the ECOVACS robot lawn mower is suitable for lawns up to 600 m² (~6,458 ft²) in size and can handle inclines up to 45%. It remains unclear whether the company will launch the gadget in markets such as the US and the UK.
