Fengmi has released the Formovie X5 4K Laser Projector for pre-sale in China. The gadget uses ALPD technology for up to 2,450 CIVA lumens brightness, making it brighter than the Theater model. Plus, you can use the projector to cast images up to 1,000-in (~2,540 cm) wide, and it comes with an integrated Denon sound system.

The Formovie X5 4K Laser Projector is now available to pre-order in China. Also known as the Fengmi X5, the gadget uses ALPD laser technology with up to 2,450 CIVA lumens, or 4,500 ANSI lumens, brightness. For comparison, the Formovie Theater projector has 2,800 ANSI lumens brightness. 

You can use the projector to throw images from 60 to 1,000-in (~152 to 2,540 cm) wide with a 1.27:1 throw ratio. Plus, the gadget has built-in MEMC technology and support for HDR10+ decoding. Fengmi has collaborated with Denon on the sound system, which includes three speakers, two 12 W and one 6 W, for a 270° audio experience compatible with Dolby Audio and DTS-HD. The gadget runs on FengOS 3.0 with an MT9669 chip, 4GB + 128GB memory and Wi-Fi 6 connectivity.

You can swiftly perfect the image with automatic focus, keystone correction, screen alignment and obstacle avoidance. Plus, you can control the gadget with voice commands. The projector, which has a Kvadrat fabric finish, measures 217 x 210 x 167 mm (~8.54 x 8.27 x 6.57-in) and weighs 3.98 kg (~8.77 lbs). You can now pre-order the Formovie X5 4K Laser Projector for 9,999 yuan (~US$1,452). The pre-sale period ends on March 28, when the price will increase to 11,999 yuan (~US$1,743). It is unclear whether or when the gadget could launch in other markets.
