Xiaomi has now started taking pre-orders for the Redmi Note 12 series, including the Redmi Note 12 Pro Plus. As expected, the Redmi Note 12 series remains unchanged from the Indian versions of the devices that Xiaomi has been selling since January. For reference, all Redmi Note 12 models feature the same 6.67-inch AMOLED display that resolves at 1080p with a 120 Hz refresh rate.
However, Pro models can vary this refresh rate in 30 Hz increments, although 1,200 nits peak brightness is possible even on the entry-level Redmi Note 12. Likewise, Xiaomi equips all models with a 5,000 mAh battery. While the Redmi Note 12 and Redmi Note 12 5G make do with 33 W wired charging, the Redmi Note 12 Pro is capable of recharging the same battery at 67 W. By contrast, the Redmi Note 12 Pro Plus supports 120 W charging that can take the 5,000 mAh battery from 0-100% in a quoted 19 minutes.
Xiaomi distinguishes the four smartphones with cameras and chipsets, though. For example, the Redmi Note 12 5G utilises the new Snapdragon 4 Gen 1, while the Redmi Note 12 4G makes do with the Snapdragon 685. In comparison, both Pro models rely on the Dimensity 1080. Also, only the Redmi Note 12 Pro Plus features a 200 MP primary camera. At launch, Xiaomi has priced the Redmi Note 12 series as follows:
