Evidence of Xiaomi POCO X6 and POCO X6 Pro surfaces online
The Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) has proven a source of information for upcoming Xiaomi smartphones again, having revealed initial signs of the POCO F6 last week. This time, a certification listing for 23122PCD1I, a model number that is thought to apply to the POCO X6. For reference, Xiaomi is also rumoured to have developed the POCO X6 Pro, with the company preparing direct POCO X5 and POCO X5 Pro successors.
Incidentally, Xiaomiui discovered IMEI database results for the 23122PCD1I a few weeks ago, alongside the 2312DRAF3G and 2312DRAF3I. Based on a recent Geekbench leak, 2312DRAF3I relates to the Indian version of the Redmi Note 13 Pro. By contrast, '23122PCD1I' may well apply to the POCO X6, a Redmi Note 13 re-brand.
If correct, this would see the POCO X5 successor launch with a newer chipset, improved front-facing and primary cameras but without an ultra-wide-angle sensor. Other elements like a 5,000 mAh battery and a 6.67-inch AMOLED display with a 1080p resolution and a 120 Hz refresh rate remain unchanged, though.
Meanwhile, the POCO X6 Pro is anticipated to be the Redmi Note 13 Pro's global representative. As we discussed at the time, the Redmi Note 13 Pro has a 1220p OLED display, a 200 MP primary camera and the Snapdragon 7s Gen 2, which appears to sit beneath the Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 in Qualcomm's product stack. Either way, the 'I' suffixes in both model numbers confirm that the 23122PCD1I and 2312DRAF3I will be Indian exclusives, which the BIS reinforces.
