The Redmi Note 12R Pro has arrived in China, as Xiaomi continues to expand the Redmi Note 12 series. According to the company, the Redmi Note 12R Pro relies on the Snapdragon 4 Gen 1, which it complements with LPDDR4X RAM and UFS 2.2 storage. For reference, the device comes with up to 12 GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage, matching many of Xiaomi's other mid-range smartphones.
Additionally, the Redmi Note 12R Pro features a 6.67-inch AMOLED display, which it shares with the rest of the Redmi Note 12 series. Thus, the panel operates at 2,400 x 1,080 pixels, with a 120 Hz peak refersh rate. Moreover, the panel delivers up to 1,200 nits peak brightness and sits in front of a 12 MP front-facing camera. Meanwhile, Xiaomi has included a 48 MP primary rear-facing camera and a 2 MP depth of field sensor.
Elsewhere, the Redmi Note 12R Pro has a 5,000 mAh battery that supports 33 W wired charging via its USB 2.0 Type-C port. Furthermore, the device has a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, a 3.5 mm jack and an IR transmitter. The Redmi Note 12R Pro features IP53 certification too, as well as MIUI 14 based on Android 13. Currently, Xiaomi only sells the Redmi Note 12R Pro in China, where it starts at CNY 1,999 (~US$289) with 12 GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage in three colour options. The company has not revealed whether it intends to sell the Redmi Note 12R Pro globally yet, though.
