CES 2024 | Lenovo Legion Tower 7i showcased as new high-end desktop gaming PC with powerful hardware combinations
Lenovo has refreshed its Legion Tower series with a new high-end model. According to the company's press release, the Legion Tower 7i will not be available in the Eurozone or the US until April. Nonetheless, it has decided to showcase the new gaming desktop at CES 2024 in Las Vegas alongside the cheaper Legion Tower 5i. Please note that Lenovo has only supplied preliminary specifications so far, with full configuration options likely not arriving until late Q1 2024 at the earliest.
Currently, the company has only confirmed that the Legion Tower 7i will have up to an Intel Core i9-13900K processor and an unnamed NVIDIA RTX desktop GPU. Presumably an RTX 40 series model, it is unclear whether this will be a standard model or a SUPER edition. At any rate, Lenovo will complement the powerful GPU with up to 64 GB of DDR5-5600 RAM and 6 TB of PCIe 4.0 storage on a Legion Z790 motherboard with a 1200 W PSU. Moreover, the desktop comes with the following I/O:
Front
- 1x 3.5 mm headphone jack
- 1x 3.5 mm microphone jack
- 2x USB 3.2 Gen2 Type-A (10 Gbps)
Rear
- 1x 2.5 Gigabit LAN
- 6x 3.5 mm audio ports w/SPDIF
- 1x LED switch
- 4x USB 3.2 Gen1 Type-A (5 Gbps)
- 1x USB 3.2 Gen2 Type-A (10 Gbps)
- 2x USB 3.2 Gen2 Type-C (10 Gbps)
Furthermore, Lenovo includes a Bluetooth 5.2 and Wi-Fi 6E (2x2) modem. Overall, the Legion Tower 7i weighs at least 17 kg when configured with a 211 x 450 x 483 mm and 34-litre case. The Lenovo Legion Tower 7i will start at $2,699 and €2,699 in the US and Eurozone, respectively.
