CES 2024 | MSI Project Zero deletes cable clutter with pricey MEG Maestro 700L PC case for custom-loop liquid cooling builds

At CES 2024, MSI is introducing a slew of new products for both laptop and desktop PC gamers to drool over. MSI previously pitched its Project Zero motherboards, which it is also launching at CES today, as a way to achieve a clutter-free PC build — by moving all of the motherboard connectors to the back of the board — with minimal thought into cable management.

The new MSI MEG MAESTRO and MSI MAG PANO cases address some of the compatibility concerns involved with relocating the standard ATX power cables to the rear of the motherboard. The MSI MEG MAESTRO 700L PZ is MSI's case for premium builds that make use of AIOs or custom liquid-cooling loops, providing ample space, compatibility, and sleek aesthetics for PC builders. It comes with cut-outs in all the right places to ensure that the MSI Project Zero motherboards fit just right.

The MEG MAESTRO 700L PZ is a large, aluminium E-ATX case constructed out of 2.5 mm thick aluminium sheets. A single tempered glass sheet curves around the front and right side of the case, exposing the ample interior, which has space for up to three 360 mm water-cooling radiators.

The interior of the MAG MAESTRO 700L PZ features much of the same layout as something like the Lian Li O11 Dynamic. Radiator mounts are located on the top and bottom panels, with the third located beside the motherboard and parallel to it. Also similar to the O11 Dynamic, the MAESTRO features a dual-chamber design, hiding the power supply behind the motherboard.

MSI also built an LED Crystal Film Screen display into the glass panel, but has not yet showcased the feature in all its glory.

MSI plans to make the MEG MAESTRO 700L PZ available in between January and February 2024, and it will come at a hefty cost of $419. If you're looking for a slightly more affordable case for a Project Zero build, MSI is also launching the cheaper MAG PANO 100L PZ series today.
