Warframe 11th anniversary: Alienware PC giveaway, special events, free loot, Twitch drops starting March 22
Notebookcheck previously reported that Warframe's anniversary celebrations would line up with the release of the game's latest playable warframe, Dante, in late March. Developer, Digital Extremes, has now released a full schedule of the anniversary celebrations, giving players an idea of what to expect from the event, which will officially start on March 22.
As usual, part of Warframe's anniversary celebrations involve a new special variant of an existing weapon. This time, the Dex Nikana — a large katana-style sword — will be gifted to players as a free login reward starting on March 27.
The celebrations start before that, on March 22, with special in-game events that will reward players with bonus loot, like credits, valuable crafting resources, past anniversary weapons, and more. Starting on March 25, though, is a series of Twitch drops, which will reward players who watch any Warframe Community streams on Twitch with a linked account for more than 45 minutes.
The Twitch drops this year are all in-game glyphs created by Warframe community artist DarikaArt, and will be given away on the following dates:
- March 25–April 1: Little Duck graffiti glyph
- April 1–April 8: Mother graffiti glyph
- April 8–April 15: Cavalero graffiti glyph
The glyphs aren't particularly useful in-game items, but they're a nice way for Digital Extremes to encourage community interaction, which is a big part of what sets Warframe apart from other MMO games.
Last, but certainly not least, Digital Extremes has partnered with Alienware to give away an Alienware Aurora R16 gaming PC in an international giveaway that's already open and will end on April 8.
The Alienware R16 in question will have a custom Warframe-themed case, which you can see in the Instagram post embedded below, and feature the following specs:
- CPU: Intel Core i7-13700F
- GPU: Nvidia GeForce RTX 4070 12GB
- RAM: 32 GB DDR5 5600
- Storage: 2× 512 GB M.2 PCIe SSDs
The desktop also comes bundled with an Alienware wireless mechanical gaming keyboard, an Alienware wireless gaming mouse, and Alienware wireless gaming headphones.

Warframe also runs very well on less powerful hardware, like the Lenovo Legion Go (curr. $699.99 from Lenovo) or the Asus ROG Ally (curr. $599.99 from Best Buy).
