OnePlus announces launch date of new mid-range smartphone with Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Plus Gen 3 chipset and matching earbuds

A few days have passed since OnePlus introduced the Nord CE 4, a forthcoming mid-range option that will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 chipset. Additionally, the company confirmed last week that the Nord CE 4 would arrive on April 1, full details of which we have covered separately. However, it turns out that it will bring another smartphone to market beforehand.

Specifically, OnePlus has now revealed that the Ace 3V will debut in China during a launch event scheduled to start at 11:00 UTC on March 21. For reference, today is not the first time that the company has mentioned the Ace 3V. As we have discussed previously, OnePlus already outlined that the Ace 3V would feature a Snapdragon 7 Plus Gen 3 chipset, LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 4.0 flash storage, which it has reiterated.

Moreover, OnePlus has complemented these parts with a 5,500 mAh battery that supports 100 W wired charging. Officially, the Ace 3V will fully recharge from 0% in just 26 minutes, which would match the OnePlus 12 and OnePlus 12R. On top of that, the Ace 3V will be joined by the Buds V, a pair of earbuds that look a lot like the Nord Buds 2 that arrived almost a year ago. Unfortunately, global release dates for either device remain unknown for now, although the Ace 3V is rumoured to be launching outside China as the OnePlus Nord 4.
