Star Wars Outlaws: PC version gets ray tracing and DLSS 3, trailer shows graphics in all their glory

Star Wars Outlaws, which is being developed by Massive Entertainment, is undoubtedly one of the most anticipated games in the list of upcoming Ubisoft releases. While fans eagerly await Ubisoft to reveal more details about the new open-world action-adventure, Nvidia has spoken out.

In a blog post Nvidia has announced that Star Wars Outlaws on PC will support DLSS 3 ray tracing and Nvidia Reflex. Those with the appropriate hardware can look forward to improved frame rates and resolutions, reduced latency, physical ray tracing shadows and global illumination.

What are the benefits of these functions?

• DLSS 3: DLSS stands for Deep Learning Super Sampling. The technology developed by Nvidia uses artificial intelligence to improve game graphics. It increases performance by rendering the image at a lower resolution and then upscaling it, thereby maintaining image quality.
• Ray tracing: A rendering technique that creates realistic lighting effects in games by tracing the paths of light rays and calculating interactions with objects and surfaces. This creates realistic shadows, reflections and light refractions.
• Nvidia Reflex: A function specially developed for competitive gaming to reduce system latency.
