Huawei Band 9 officially announced as leaker reveals promotional images and specifications
Yesterday, Huawei released a teaser for the Band 9, which it described as 'a new era in wrist fashion and sleep feature enhancements'. In short, the company's Twitter post revealed what the Band 9 looked like from the front with no obvious visual changes from last year's Band 8. However, Huawei decided against outlining when the fitness tracker would be launched nor how it differs from its predecessor.
Nonetheless, WinFuture and Roland Quandt are on hand to fill in the gaps. Allegedly, the Band 9 contains a 1.47-inch AMOLED display that outputs at 368 x 194 pixels with a 282 PPI. Moreover, the unreleased fitness tracker is said to sport a 180 mAh battery while also offering 5 ATM water resistance.
In other words, the Band 9 appears to carry over its core features from the Band 8. Surprisingly, Huawei has made no design changes either, further begging the question as to the differences that exist between the pair. Based on Huawei's Twitter teaser, it would seem to include improved sleep tracking. Unfortunately, other details remain unknown at this stage, although we imagine that the Huawei Band 9 will retail for about as much as its predecessor, which still sells for £49.99 in the UK and €59 in the Eurozone.
