Garmin has published a new update for a popular smartwatch that it it released over 18 months ago. The update brings the smartwatch up to Firmware Version 2.64 with bug fixes and update packages for Text and Mobile language packs.

The Venu Sq 2 has received a new software update, three months after the stable release of Firmware Version 2.59. To recap, Firmware Version 2.59 followed Firmware Version 2.53 with improvements for BLE and ANT+ connectivity, as well as Garmin's Connect IQ service. Additionally, Firmware Version 2.59 packed various other improvements, such as support for controlling a bike light with a single camera.

Now, the company has distributed Firmware Version 2.64, which it claims has now reached 100% rollout. However, if your Venu Sq 2 remains an earlier build for some reason, you can download Firmware Version 2.64 through Garmin Express or Garmin Connect Mobile (GCM). While the smartwatch's previous update introduced numerous improvements, Firmware Version 2.64 focuses on bug fixes.

Specifically, the new update should resolve a VO2 Max reading issue. Moreover, Garmin states that Firmware Version 2.64 improves system stability, albeit in in unspecified areas. On top of that, the new firmware update arrives with Text Languages 1.17 and Mobile Languages 1.09 update packs. Please see Garmin's forum post for more details.
