Honor announces new Watch GS 4 smartwatch with GPS and NFC features
The Honor Watch GS 4 smartwatch has been unveiled in China. The new wearable was launched at a recent event alongside the Honor Magic6 Ultimate and Magic 6 RSR Porsche Design smartphones and the Honor Band 9.
The Watch GS 4 has a 1.43-inch AMOLED display with a 466 x 466 px resolution. You can use the smartwatch to monitor health metrics like heart rate, SpO2, sleep quality and stress levels. Plus, an integrated GNSS system lets you navigate and track outdoor activities with the wearable, and you can log your exercise with over 100 sports to choose from. Other features include Bluetooth calling and NFC payments via WeChat Pay and AliPay. The 451 mAh battery allows the watch to run for up to 14 days on a single charge, fully recharging in under an hour. The watch has a 5ATM water resistance rating and is offered in three colorways: Starry Sky Exploration (black), Galaxy Shuttle (black/silver) and Jasper Astrolabe (green/gold).
You can now pre-order the Honor Watch GS 4 smartwatch in China at the lower price of 949 yuan (~$130), with the wearable launching on March 29th for 99 yuan (~$140). Though the company has yet to confirm plans for a global release, the new model is expected to go on sale worldwide later, as was the case for the older Honor Watch GS 3.
