A host of recent flagship Garmin smartwatches are eligible for another new update, only a few days after their last. Available to download now as Beta Version 26.92 for smartwatches enrolled on the Garmin Beta Program, the new build makes several crucial changes like eliminating system crashes that could occur when using certain CIQ apps.

Garmin has offered up a new update to the Fenix 6 series, shortly after delivering Beta Version 26.91 to the ageing smartwatch. To recap, Beta Version 26.91 made various changes from Beta Version 26.86, including the addition of split tracking for Garmin's Ski activity. Additionally, the update contained several bug fixes, full details of which we have covered separately.

While the wait for a new stable update continues, Garmin has now started distributing Beta Version 26.92 to Enduro, Fenix 6, MARQ, Quatix 6, and Tactix Delta smartwatches enrolled in its Beta Program. In a forum post, the company explains that the new beta update will only be available to side-load rather than delivered through its Garmin Connect Mobile or Garmin Express services. As a result, you must download the appropriate build from Garmin's forum post and manually load into onto your smartwatch.

According to the same post, Beta Version 26.92 makes two headline changes from Beta Version 26.91. On the one hand, the new build is said to fix an issue with swimming activities where distance data would be stuck at zero on Beta Version 26.91 and older software. On the other hand, Beta Version 26.92 resolves a problem that caused a system crash when using some, albeit undisclosed, CIQ apps. Please see Garmin's forum post for further details and Beta Version 26.92 download links.
