Garmin releases bug fixes for smartwatches in new update
Garmin has announced the phased rollout of Beta Version 15.06 for the Instinct 2, Instinct 2s, Instinct 2X, and Instinct Crossover smartwatches. The update follows version 15.03, which launched earlier this month and focuses on various bug fixes, a couple of which are aimed at just some of the Instinct 2 series models.
Listed in the change log for all Instinct 2 wearables is a solution for a problem with the Hydration auto goal. Also applied to all smartwatches are fixes for a potential issue with Dog Alerts and a bug that could lead to the distance metrics not updating correctly during pool-related activities. For the Instinct 2, Instinct 2s and Instinct 2X watches, Garmin has resolved a graphical issue relating to the heart rate data field, a problem noted on various watch faces. Only for the Instinct Crossover is a fix for a bug with the content displayed on the Fitness Age screen.
When the update was first reported on March 22nd, the company noted that it had reached 20% of eligible wearables. The update is being rolled out OTA, meaning it should be automatically delivered to the wearables in each wave. Alternatively, you can get the new software by syncing with Garmin Express on your computer. Precisely when the rollout of Beta Version 15.06 for the Garmin Instinct 2 series smartwatches will be complete remains unclear.
