Kospet Tank T3 Ultra: New rugged smartwatch launches with compass, altimeter and GPS

Kospet has a new smartwatch on offer in the Tank T3 Ultra, an inexpensive device with a strong set of features. Unlike many other affordable wearables, the Tank T3 Ultra comes with its own GNSS module. This makes it easy to record hikes, for example, and also allows for the evaluation of performance during sporting activities. The smartwatch also has a compass and can measure altitude and air pressure.

As for hardware, the watch is equipped with a 1.43-inch AMOLED screen, which itself is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 3. The watch is also said to have passed various MIL-STD-810H tests and is therefore protected against damage caused by drops. IP69K is advertised as well as water resistance up to a test pressure of 5 ATM, so the watch should also be suitable for swimming. Although not actually intended for divers, the watch should nevertheless be suitable for swimmers, who will benefit from stroke count recognition.

A battery with a capacity of 470 mAh is installed, which is likely to result in a runtime of up to 15 days under typical use. If the AMOLED is always activated, the runtime drops to a maximum of 5 days. A Bluetooth phone function is available, as well as functions for measuring heart rate, blood oxygen saturation and even blood pressure, although the blood pressure measurement is unlikely to be accurate.

The price of the Kospet Tank T3 Ultra is currently listed on the manufacturer's website at just under $120, but is currently not available.
