Rollme reveals new Band 6 at low price with alleged ECG
Rollme has launched a new health-tracking wearable, the Band 6. The company claims that its new watch can take ECG readings and provides a non-invasive blood glucose monitoring solution. However, given the low price of the smartwatch, it is highly unlikely that the measurements are accurate, and you should bear in mind that this is not a medically certified device.
The Band 6 is also said to monitor biometrics such as heart rate, blood oxygen level, blood pressure, body temperature and sleep quality. Again, the precision of these sensors is unproven. You can view logged data in the Rollme app, available for iOS and Android. The watch also has features like NFC, a calculator and a stopwatch, alongside various sports modes to log your workouts. The smartwatch has a 1.47-inch tall AMOLED display and a 250mAh battery, which allegedly allows the gadget to last up to 30 days, though this is probably when the wearable is in standby mode.
Along with concerns about the accuracy of the health-tracking features, another red flag is the lack of a returns address on the company’s website. The Rollme Band 6 is priced at $39.99 and ships from warehouses in the US, Germany, the UK, and China. Depending on your needs, we advise you to consider options like the Xiaomi Smart Band 8 or the Garmin Venu 3 instead.
