Stellar Blade PlayStation 5 demo confirmed for March 29
Stellar Blade is the second high-profile PlayStation exclusive to drop this year on April 26. It has a lot riding on it because Rise of the Ronin turned out to be a damp squib due to its non-Nioh-esque combat and sub-par visuals, with some people calling it a "PS3 game". You can now get a taste of the Stellar Blade gameplay on your PlayStation 5 via a playable demo on March 29, 14:00 GMT, for real this time.
Sony also released a new gameplay trailer for Stellar Blade. It shows off bits of the game's UI, combat and the game's boss fight, giving players a good idea about what the rest of Stellar Blade has in store. Save files created in the demo will carry over to the main game once it is released. You'll also get "a little surprise" once you finish the demo.
Unlike Dragon's Dogma 2, you can play Stellar Blade on your PlayStation 5 at 60 FPS. And, its late April launch date ensures that it doesn't clash with the highly-anticipated Elden Ring Shadow of the Erdtree set to drop on 20 June. While its developer, Shift Up, is a relatively unknown company, we've seen Neowiz work wonders with Lies of P, and it wouldn't be outlandish to expect a game of the same calibre from another South Korean studio
