New ConcernedApe game "Haunted Chocolatier" is on hold until Stardew Valley patch 1.6 runs smoothly
After putting ten years of his time into Stardew Valley, Eric Barone - better known as ConcernedApe - announced on October 8, 2021 that he was working on a new game to work on. In "Haunted Chocolatier", players will run a chocolate store - in a magical castle inhabited by ghosts.
As the solo developer recently announced in a reply to X (formerly Twitter), players will have to wait a while before there is any new information on Haunted Chocolatier. ConcernedApe can't wait to resume work on its new game, but first wants to make sure that Stardew Valley patch 1.6 runs bug-free on all platforms.
I am eager to get back to work on it. But I have to see Stardew 1.6 settled, bug-free and out to all platforms first

Stardew Valley 1.6 was released on March 19 - but only for the PC. Since then, patch 1.6.1 and 1.6.2 have already fixed a number of bugs. Patch 1.6.3, which will not only include bug fixes but also a long-awaited gameplay change is already in the starting blocks.
Console gamers are still waiting for the latest version of the farming RPG. It is not known when Stardew Valley 1.6 will be released on Xbox, PlayStation and Switch. In the X-Post for the release of the PC version, ConcernedApe only wrote that the console patches will follow "as soon as possible".
