Update roadmap for Dragon's Dogma 2: Capcom responds to criticism
Despite a good Metacritic rating and great results in game tests, Dragon's Dogma 2 was harshly criticized after its release. In addition to the inconsistent frame rate on the PC, Capcom was also criticized for the numerous microtransactions in the game. The developer has now announced the roadmap for Dragon's Dogma 2, showing how the game will continue in the near future.
Update March 27, 2024: Something was misinterpreted in the existing article. Capcom is not introducing the option to create a second character. Instead, players will only be able to create a new save directly in the game and overwrite the old one. This was previously only possible by deleting the save files in the system.
To all Dragon's Dogma 2 players!

Capcom responds to DLC criticism
Capcom has already apologized for the problem with the many microtransactions in Dragon's Dogma 2 on Steam but has not yet announced any changes. As the update roadmap shows, there will at least be an adjustment: The availability of the book "Art of Metamorphosis", which is necessary to customize a character's appearance, will be increased to 99 in all peasant guilds. This should mean that players will no longer have to spend money on character customization in the future.
Finally create a second character
What should please players in particular is that it will soon be possible to start a new game if a savegame already exists. Previously, there was no option to create a second character. In addition, the quest that allows players to buy a house will be available earlier in the game.
Better DLSS performance via Steam
For Steam players, the upcoming patches should bring better quality when the DLSS Super Resolution function is activated feature. A bug that caused character models to appear in lower quality at certain settings will also be fixed.
Many technical adjustments for console players
In addition to general bug fixes that apply to all platforms, the update roadmap for Dragon's Dogma 2 includes several adjustments for the console ports that could contribute to better overall performance. With the upcoming patches, players will have the option to disable motion blur and ray tracing and limit the FPS to 30. Capcom points out that these options have no effect on the frame rate, but that FPS improvements are planned for the future.
