Gathertech Co. has launched the Deeku HL108D dual-touchscreen laptop crowdfunding campaign on Green Funding in Japan. This inexpensive, 10.5-inch notebook weighs two pounds and runs an Intel N95 CPU for web surfing, lightweight gaming, art, and media consumption.

Gathertech Co. has begun its crowdfunding campaign for the Deeku HL108D laptop with dual 10.5” touchscreens on Green Funding in Japan. The lightweight laptop runs an Intel N95 CPU for users that don’t need high-performance.

Dual-touchscreen laptops have existed as far back as the 2010 Toshiba Libretto W100. Readers who need a powerful notebook can buy recent models such as the Lenovo Yoga Book 9i that uses two physical displays connected by a hinge, and the HP Spectre 3-in-1 that uses one large physical display that can fold down the middle without breaking. However, these are expensive and heavy for simple usage such as lightweight gaming, streaming video, web browsing, and drawing art.

The HL108D fills the need for an inexpensive alternative by using a basic, 4-core N95 CPU and 60 Hz IPS panels. The N95 CPU is coupled with 16 GB of DDR4 RAM to run multiple apps without swapping under Windows 11 Pro. The laptop can be configured with a 512 GB or a 2 TB SSD. Both 1920x1080 touchscreens have slim 0.16 inch (4.0 mm) bezels. The laptop opens up to 360 degrees and can be used in laptop, tent, and tablet modes.

The Deeku has dual USB-A ports, dual USB-C ports, a mini HDMI port, and a 3.5mm headphone jack. The dual-screen laptop measures 9.25 x 6.69 x 0.71 inches (235 x 170 x 18 mm) and weighs 2.09 pounds (0.95 kg). The aluminum body houses a 3200 mAh battery with a runtime of up to 4 hours. A basic 2 MP webcam, 1 watt speaker, and Wi-Fi 2.4/5 Ghz and Bluetooth 4.2 wireless connectivity round out the features.

Interested readers can place their pre-orders today on Green Funding in Japan with deliveries expected to begin in August 2024. Prices range from 64,820 yen to 197,520 yen (approx. $440 to $1,340) depending on configuration and availability of limited promotional offers.
