HP announces ZBook Firefly G11 laptops with Intel Core Ultra and AMD Ryzen 8040HS processors
HP has refreshed its ZBook Firefly series, which will all be sold as 'G11' models. As Liliputing notes, HP will persist with offering the ZBook Firefly in 14-inch and 16-inch sizes. While the pair feature similar hardware, it is worth noting that only ZBook Firefly G11 16-inch laptops will be available with an optional 2.8K OLED display.
By contrast, HP restricts the ZBook Firefly 14 G11 to IPS display options with up to a 2.5K resolution and a 120 Hz refresh rate. Nonetheless, the company will provide greater processor choices for 14-inch SKUs. Specifically, it will be possible to configure the ZBook Firefly 14 G11 with up to an Intel Core Ultra 7 165H or an AMD Ryzen 9 PRO 8945HS. For some reason, HP has limited the ZBook Firefly 16 G11 to Intel-only processor options ranging from the Core Ultra 5 125U to the Core Ultra 7 165H.
At any rate, both sizes will come with optional NVIDIA RTX A500 pro GPUs. Currently, HP plans to release the ZBook Firefly G11 series next month. However, the company has not shared launch pricing yet. Instead, it has revealed that both sizes will be configurable with up to 64 GB of DDR5 non-EEC RAM and 2 TB of PCIe Gen4 storage. Please see HP's website for more details.
