Acer has presented a new Swift Go 16 laptop, less than two months after it presented its most recent refresh during CES 2024. To recap, the Swift Go 16 that debuted at CES 2024 was shown in a silver finish with a choice between Intel Core Ultra 5 125H or Core Ultra 7 155H processors. By contrast, the newer Swift Go 16 Pro Black Edition relies upon older processors than its non-Pro counterpart.
Specifically, Acer equips the Swift Go 16 Pro Black Edition with the Core i5-13420H and Core i7-13620H, a pair of Raptor Lake-H processors that the company complements with up to 32 GB of LPDDR5 RAM and 1 TB of PCIe 4.0 storage. For reference, a 17% performance gap exists between the Core i5-13420H and Core i7-13620H in the latter's favour. Additionally, Acer claims that the laptop will last up to ten hours on a single charge, albeit without providing its battery capacity.
Moreover, the Swift Go 16 Pro Black Edition boasts a 16-inch OLED panel that resolves at 3,200 x 2,000 pixels with 500 nits peak brightness and a 120 Hz refresh rate, all within a 1.65 kg housing. On top of that, Acer installs a 1440p webcam, plus HDMI 2.1, MicroSD, Thunderbolt 4 and USB Type-A ports. Acer hopes to begin selling the Swift Go 16 Pro Black Edition from early Q2 2024 onwards in the Eurozone. While the company has not confirmed availability for other markets yet, it has revealed that the machine will start at €1,099 with a Core i5-13420H processor and will cost an additional €200 for Core i7-13620H SKUs.
