Nvidia GeForce Game Ready Driver 551.76 brings DLSS 3 and Reflex support to The Thaumaturge
Introduced yesterday, the Nvidia GeForce Game Ready Driver 551.76 is the latest software package for GeForce GPU users who want to keep their systems up to date. While the most convenient download and setup method of the GeForce Game Ready packages remains the GeForce Experience app, Nvidia continues the public beta testing of the eponymous app which is set to replace the Control Panel, RTX Experience, and GeForce Experience.
Regardless of the download and setup method used, Nvidia GeForce Game Ready Driver 551.76 remains a minor update that only brings optimizations for a single game. In this case, it's The Thaumaturge, a monster-taming role-playing title with turn-based combat and a dark story, which receives support for Nvidia DLSS 3 and Reflex.
With the help of the new Nvidia app, users can also discover and install other Nvidia apps that have various purposes, both for gamers and content creators. The list contains well-known pieces of code such as GeForce Now and Nvidia Broadcast, but also new tools like Nvidia Omniverse. The AI-powered filters recently introduced for GeForce RTX users can only be enabled from the Nvidia app. These filters bring HDR visuals to SDR games (RTX HDR), also taking the Nvidia Control Panel Digital Vibrance features to the next level (RTX Dynamic Vibrance).
Those looking for an upgrade to the RTX 40 Series can now grab the PNY GeForce RTX 4070 12GB XLR8 Gaming Verto Epic-X RGB on Amazon for $549.99 instead of $629.99. This is a factory overclocked triple fan design and PNY currently has it listed for $604.99, so Amazon's deal is a pretty good one.
