Some Asian, Canadian, and French retailers have already listed the Intel Core i9-14900KS processor. Its slated launch date is on March 14, but some of them are claiming that they have the CPU in stock and can ship right after the order is placed. However, it’s better to wait for the official launch date, as most retailers offer special launch discounts.
Speaking of which, the early retailer listings have shed light on the price of the processor. From what the preorder pricing of the Intel Core i9-14900KS is suggesting, depending on the region, the CPU will be anywhere between 19% and 30% more expensive than the i9-14900K (curr. $544.99 on Amazon).
More specifically, the pricing varies from $709.73 to $890.63, with the CPU being the most expensive in France and the most affordable in Hong Kong. Check the images attached at the end to learn the exact preorder prices in the regions mentioned. Nonetheless, this pricing is in line with the past rumors we had about the Core i9-14900KS having a launch price similar to the i9-13900KS (curr. $635.99 on Amazon).
For those unaware, the Intel Core i9-14900KS will feature the same exact number of cores as the i9-14900K. What sets these two processors apart is the binning processes, with the expensive CPU enjoying higher clock speeds and increased base TDP. A recent leak suggests that the processor can surpass 400W under full load. So, you would also want to save up for a decent cooler if you’re planning to get it.
