Ghost of Tsushima Director's Cut headed to PC on May 16 ↺
Rumours about a Ghost of Tsushima sequel and PC port have been around for a while. The latter came from a less-than-reputable source, but it seems to be accurate. PlayStation has now officially acknowledged its existence. It will be playable via Steam and Epic Games Store on May 16. You can pre-order Ghost of Tsushima Director's Cut on PC now.
The bundle includes the base game and the Iki Island expansion that sheds light on the protagonist's (Jin Sakai) upbringing. It also comes with the "Legends" game mode that lets you team up with other players to take on waves of enemies. Sony has also thrown in some in-game goodies as a pre-order bonus. Do note these are purely cosmetic and don't affect gameplay in any way.
Those worried about a less-than-stellar PC port (The Last of Us Part I) will be pleased to know that Ghost of Tsushima Director's Cut will be bought to PC by Nixxes, a studio with an excellent track record in this regard. It supports all commercially available AI-powered upscalers (Nvidia DLSS 3.0, AMD FSR 3.0 and Intel XeSS) and supports ultra-wide monitors. DirectStorage support, a near-standard feature on most Nixxes PC ports, is conspicuously missing.
Other Ghost of Tsushima Director's Cut PC features include the full suite of DualSense features (wired only) and support for a "wide range" of third-party controllers. You can even experience the game in "Kurosawa Mode", which applies a black-and-white filter on the game. Lastly, the game's Steam listing suggests the game won't launch with Denuvo.
