Samsung QEC 98-inch 4K display with 2.2-channel speakers now available

The 98-inch QEC is an LCD display powered by the Samsung Quantum Processor 4K. The monitor has a VA panel with up to 450 nits brightness, a 5,000:1 contrast ratio and an 8ms response time. Plus, the display covers 93% of the DCI color space for vivid hues. Other features include UHD upscaling, Tizen 6.5 OS and 8GB flash memory. There is a range of ports on the device, such as HDMI 2.0, USB 2.0, and RJ45, with Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 5.2 connectivity, and support for Miracast wireless screen mirroring. Also included are integrated 40W 2.2 channel speakers, a temperature sensor and a built-in MagicInfo Player S10 Lite for digital signage.

The display is slim, measuring 48.4 mm (~1.9-in) thick, and designed to operate for 16 hours a day, seven days a week. While the Samsung 98” Samsung QEC Series 450 nit 4K UHD Display has an RRP of $5,950, you can currently buy the new model for $4,999 in the US. The product is also on sale at third-party European retailers for around £5,120/€4,690.
