ViewSonic announces new budget 4K monitor with USB hub

The VG2781-4K is ViewSonic's latest 27-inch monitor. Outputting at 4K and 400 nits, the ViewSonic VG2781-4K also offers 400 nits peak brightness, plus four video outputs and a USB hub, among other features.

ViewSonic has unveiled another 27-inch monitor, having already presented the VX2776-2K-PRO and VX2781-4K-PRO-6 this month alone. This time, the company has finalised the VG2781-4K, a 4K IPS option that outputs at 60 Hz. Additionally, the monitor outputs at up to 400 nits with a 1,000:1 contrast ratio and covers 100%, 95% and 92% of the sRGB, DCI-P3 and Adobe RGB colour spaces, respectively.

Accordingly, the VG2781-4K is VESA DisplayHDR 400 certified. Moreover, the monitor boasts 4 ms GtG response times with Delta E ≤2 factory calibration. Furthermore, the VG2781-4K has a pair of 3 W speakers and the following ports:

  • 1x 3.5 mm jack
  • 1x DisplayPort 1.2
  • 2x HDMI 2.0
  • 3x USB 3.0 Type-A (downstream)
  • 1x USB 3.0 Type-B (upstream)
  • 1x USB Type-C (96 W Power Delivery/DisplayPort Alt Mode)

Currently, ViewSonic has only started selling the VG2781-4K in China. For reference, the monitor is available for CNY 1,699 (~$237) through the likes of JD.com. While ViewSonic has not commented on availability outside in other markets yet. Nonetheless, the company tends to release its monitors globally at some stage, such as the XG272-2K-OLED.
