LG UltraGear OLED 45GS96QB pricing announced before release of new ultra-wide 240 Hz OLED gaming monitor
LG has now listed the UltraGear OLED 45GS96QB on its US website. In the process, the company has now revealed all the UltraGear OLED gaming monitors it unveiled in late December 2023. The 1440p and 480 Hz option that it teased at the start of this year remains a mystery though, beyond the details we have covered previously.
For reference, the UltraGear OLED 45GS96QB joins the 32GS95UE, 34GS95QE, 39GS95QE and 45GS95QE within LG's UltraGear OLED series. While the company has now released those four monitors, it has only confirmed launch pricing and key specifications for the UltraGear OLED 45GS96QB. As expected, the monitor spans 44.5-inches and outputs at 3,440 x 1,440 pixels with a 21:9 aspect ratio and 800R curvature.
Additionally, the UltraGear OLED 45GS96QB delivers 0.03 ms GtG response times with AMD FreeSync Premium Pro and NVIDIA G-SYNC compatibility. Moreover, the monitor covers 98.5% of the DCI-P3 colour space with 275 nits peak brightness and VESA DisplayHDR True Black 400 certification. Ultimately, the UltraGear OLED 45GS96QB shares its panel with the UltraGear OLED 45GS95QE.
However, LG adds USB Type-C connectivity and 7 W stereo speakers. Surprisingly, the UltraGear OLED 45GS96QB retails for the same amount as the UltraGear OLED 45GS95QE though at $1,699. As the image below shows, the UltraGear OLED 45GS96QB will ship with the following ports:
- 1x 3.5 mm jack
- 1x DisplayPort
- 2x HDMI
- 2x USB Type-A
- 1x USB Type-C (65 W Power Delivery)
