ViewSonic VX2776-2K-PRO 27-inch gaming monitor debuts with 185 Hz refresh rate, 2.5K resolution, and adaptive sync

ViewSonic has debuted the VX2776-2K-PRO gaming monitor in the Chinese market with a relatively competitive price. It comes with a 27-inch “fast IPS” panel that offers a 185 Hz refresh rate and 2.5K resolution at CNY 1,599, which is around $225. To compare, a similarly specced Asus TUF Gaming 27-inch monitor with up to 165 Hz refresh rate is currently $309 on Amazon.

Getting back to the new ViewSonic gaming monitor, the company says that the 185 Hz IPS panel has a 1 ms response rate, making it good for eSports games. The display also packs “non-flicker technology” and “dark picture compensation” tech to offer an upper hand in competitive games.

While ViewSonic didn’t give details on the brightness rating, the company said that the display has Vesa Certified HDR. There’s also adaptive sync, which aims to reduce the screen tearing and frame rate stuttering. The VX2776-2K-PRO has customized display presets too. They automatically adjust the picture according to the type of game you’re playing.

When it comes to the I/O, the ViewSonic VX2776-2K-PRO comes with one DP 1.2, one 3.5 mm audio, and two HDMI 2.0 ports. There’s no word on the global launch yet, but the company offers other VX2776 series monitors and a range of gaming monitors (OMNI VX2718-P-MHD curr. $149.99 on Amazon) in the international markets.
