LG UltraGear 27GS60F announced as new budget gaming monitor for under €200
LG has released a new gaming monitor, which joins the likes of the UltraGear 24GS60F, UltraGear OLED 45GS96QB and the four other examples that the company has offered up this month alone. This time, LG has created the UltraGear 27GS60F, a 27-inch example that combines a 1080p native resolution with a 180 Hz refresh rate. Additionally, LG's product page reports that the UltraGear 27GS60F is HDR10 compatible, although it only offers 300 nits peak brightness.
Moreover, the monitor offers 1 ms GtG response times, plus AMD FreeSync and NVIDIA G-SYNC support to minimise image tearing when gaming at high refresh rates. Since the UltraGear 27GS60F only outputs at 1080p and 180 Hz, it will have not be bandwidth restricted across either its DisplayPort 1.4 or HDMI 2.0 video outputs. Unfortunately, while the monitor has a 3.5 mm jack, it lacks a USB hub to speak of.
At the time of writing, LG and its associated retailers are selling the UltraGear 27GS60F in Canada, Europe, Japan and the UK. Seemingly, the monitor carries a €199.99 MSRP in the Eurozone and costs CAD$279.99 in Canada. Alternatively, LG has priced the UltraGear 27GS60F at JPY 30,800 in Japan and approximately £203 in the UK. Details on a full global release are unknown for the time being though, including when the monitor will be available in the US.
