ViewSonic has launched the XG272-2K-OLED in the US, where it arrives with a 2.5K and 240 Hz OLED panel. ViewSonic has also included numerous USB ports and four dedicated video outputs, as well as some RGB lighting.

ViewSonic has begun selling the XG272-2K-OLED in the US, approximately a week after listing the VX2758A-2K-PRO globally. Incidentally, less than a month has passed since the VX2758-4K-PRO-2 debuted in China, too. As its name suggests, the XG272-2K-OLED relies upon a 27-inch OLED panel that outputs at '2K'. In other words, the XG272-2K-OLED outputs at 2,560 x 1,440 pixels, which is commonly referred to as 2.5K or 1440p.

At any rate, the XG272-2K-OLED combines its high resolution panel with a 240 Hz refresh rate and 450 nits peak brightness when viewing HDR content. Unfortunately, ViewSonic has not revealed its OLED panel supplier. However, those specifications match various recent LG Display WOLED-based gaming monitors like the ASRock Phantom Gaming PGO27QFS2A, Cooler Master Tempest GZ2711 and LG UltraGear OLED 27GS95QE. Accordingly, ViewSonic reports 0.02 ms GtG response times, as well as AMD FreeSync Premium and NVIDIA G-SYNC support.

Moreover, the company includes five video inputs, of which one is a USB Type-C connection, plus four other USB 3.1 ports of USB Type-A and Type-B standards. Furthermore, the XG272-2K-OLED features an adjustable stand, a smattering of RGB lighting and various buttons embedded within its stand for controlling its onboard OSD. A pair of 3 W speakers round off the monitor's I/O, although a 3.5 mm jack is on hand should you prefer to use external audio equipment. For some reason, ViewSonic has not revealed how much the XG272-2K-OLED costs. Instead, it displays a 'contact sales' button on its website; please the company's product listing for more hardware details.
