Nvidia GeForce Game Ready Driver 551.52 brings DLSS support to Skull and Bones, Banishers: Ghosts of New Edenand, and Smalland: Survive the Wilds
This week, Nvidia is back with a new driver for a wide range of GPUs. Unsurprisingly, the focus is on providing DLSS support to new games and best performance to the GeForce 40 series graphics cards. While no GeForce Experience optimizations or support for new G-Sync displays are in the cards, the driver package labeled 551.52 comes with DLSS enhancements for a trio of new games.
Also available for Xbox Series X and S, PlayStation 5, and Windows, Banishers: Ghosts of Eden became available simultaneously on these platforms on February 13th. The new driver provides both DLSS 2 and DLSS 3 support to this title, which can be played at over 100 fps with all settings pushed to the top level in 4K resolution, on the GeForce RTX 4070 Super.
Coming out of early access today, the survival and building game set in a tiny world Smalland: Survive the Wilds gets DLSS 2 support out of the box. Tomorrow, open world pirate action RPG Skull and Bones is set to debut with DLSS 2 optimizations as well.
While a new driver might not be such a big piece of news, Nvidia's consistent software support for more recent as well as older hardware is one of the many bricks that laid the foundation of its ascension. Earlier today, it replaced Alphabet and became the third most valuable Wall Street company. Its current value is around $1.825 trillion, also ahead of Amazon.
